Former San Diego State track and field athlete Allison Reaser finished 15th in the heptathlon at the USA Outdoor Championships Sunday at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.

Reaser moved up one place on the final day of the two-day event, totaling 5,517 points. Barbara Nwaba (ABEO/SBTC) won the heptathlon with 6,500 points, followed by Sharon Day-Monroe (ASICS) (6,458) and Erica Bougard (Unattached) (6,288).

Reaser began the day in the long jump, taking 16th with a leap of 18 feet, 4 ¼ inches (5.59m) for 726 points. Next up was the javelin throw, where Reaser was 14th with a toss of 116-05 (35.48m), earning 581 additional points. The final event of the competition was the 800 meters and Reaser ran the eighth-fastest time in 2 minutes, 15.65 seconds for 884 points.

Yesterday, former Aztec Whitney Ashley took second in the discus throw.

Former Aztec Shanieka Thomas also competed today at the Jamaican National Championships, taking second in the triple jump with a leap of 44-11.00 (13.69m).
