SAN DIEGO - San Diego State's Sarah Haydock competed in the final three events of the heptathlon at the 2015 Mountain West Outdoor Track and Field Championships on top the SDSU Sports Deck. Haydock finished in 11th with a total of 3,645 points in her last home meet.
On the second and closing day of the heptathlon, Haydock earned a third season-best performance in the long jump with a leap of 16 feet, 3 ¼ inches. She moved onto the javelin throw by tossing a career-best 87-01 (26.54m)), improving from last year's performance (75-04) at the 36th annual Aztec Invitational. In the 800, Haydock clocked in at 2:53.35 to conclude the day.
Jasmine Burrell, Victoria Dickerson and Freja Liljedahl will kick things off tomorrow with the hammer throw, which will take place on the campus of UCSD at 11 a.m. PT. Following that event and returning to the SDSU Sports Deck will be Kira Moreland competing in the long jump at 12 p.m. PT, with the qualifying 200 meters ending the day at 6:20 p.m. PT.
For Friday and Saturday, the ticket booth will be open an hour and a half before the start of the first event (noon Friday, 10 a.m. Saturday). Adult tickets can be purchased for $10 while youth (ages 3-17) and students (with a valid student ID) are $5.
