DENVER - San Diego State women's lacrosse senior Lauren Paul was named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation all-tournament team, as announced Sunday following the MPSF Championships at the University of Denver.

A defender from Grasonville, Md., Paul collected two ground balls, posted one draw control and caused one turnover in the Aztecs' 15-6 quarterfinal loss to Colorado on Thursday, April 30.

In 2015, Paul set a single-season school record with 24 caused turnovers for an average of 1.41 per game, which ranks second in the MPSF. She also finished second out of SDSU's position players with 36 ground balls, including a program-record six in the regular-season finale vs. USC on April 25.

Paul was one of three Aztecs to garner all-MPSF accolades this year, along with Christina Ricciardulli and Michaela Jarvis, earning first-team distinction in a vote of the league's head coaches on April 29. She completed her career ranked second on the team's all-time list with 102 ground balls and 58 caused turnovers.

San Diego State, which made its second straight MPSF tournament appearance last week, completed the 2015 campaign with a 9-8 overall record, marking the program's highest victory total since its inception in 2012. In addition, the Aztecs posted a team-record seven-game winning streak from Feb. 28-March 22nd, and started 4-0 in conference play for the first time in the squad's four-year history.

Top-seeded Stanford captured the MPSF title on Sunday with a 16-11 victory over No. 2 seed USC, earning the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
