SAN DIEGO - The No. 37 San Diego State men's tennis team got contributions from each of its players on Friday afternoon, as the Aztecs defeated Mountain West foe Fresno State, 6-1, at Aztec Tennis Center.

SDSU (14-5, 2-1 MW) has won four-consecutive dual matches and 10 of its last 11 outings. The Aztecs also improved to 14-1 on their home court and has now defeated Fresno State three-straight times.

The day began with San Diego State winning the doubles point for the eighth time in its last 11 dual matches. The Aztecs' No. 3 duo of senior Andranik Khachatryan (Burbank, Calif.) and sophomore Marko Goles-Babic (Zagreb, Croatia) defeated Nikolas Papic and Sai Kartik Nakireddi, 6-3, for its seventh-straight win, while the No. 1 team and 65th-ranked unit of junior Freddy Gelbrich (Isernhagen, Germany) and sophomore Hendrik Jebens (Stuttgart, Germany) knocked off Euan McIntosh and Youssef Hassan, 7-5.

With the doubles point all wrapped up, SDSU's No. 2 team of senior Thorsten Bertsch (Mannheim, Germany) and sophomore Jonas Meinzer (Buggingen, Germany) were trailing in a tight match against Adam Glynn and Eric Komati, 4-5.

Singles action began with Goles-Babic winning his 11th-consecutive match on the No. 4 court, as he took down McIntosh in straight-sets, 6-2, 6-4, and sophomore Milen Ianakiev (Elz, Germany) earned a straight-sets No. 5 singles win over Komati, 6-3, 6-2.

Khachatryan sealed the dual-match victory by defeating Hassan on the No. 6 court, 6-2, 6-2, while Gelbrich, ranked 111th in the nation, topped Kartik Nakireddi, 6-4, 6-3. The dual matched finished with Bertsch falling short on the No. 2 court against Papic, 6-2, 6-2, before Jebens finished it off with his ninth-consecutive win on the No. 3 court over Glynn, 7-5, 7-6 (5).

The Aztecs continue MW play on Sunday, when they play host to Nevada beginning at 11 a.m. PT.
