GREENSBORO, N.C. - San Diego concluded competition at the 2015 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships by participating in three events on Saturday and sending one athlete to a consolation final. The meet was hosted by North Carolina State at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.

A total of 73 schools were represented at the national title meet with 46 of them recording at least a point. The Aztecs ended the championships with a total of nine points to place 39th in the final standings.

San Diego State began its day with a pair of swimmers competing in the prelims of the 100 freestyle. Sophomore Anika Apostalon posted a time of 47.97 in her heat to finish 10th overall and qualify for the evening consolation finals. Teammate Chelsea Bailey's mark of 49.72 placed her 57th.

In the consolation final, Apostalon placed fourth with a time of 48.31 to earn five points for her team.

Freshman Summer Harrison competed in the prelims of the 200 butterfly where her mark of 2:03.74 found her in 51st place.

In the final event in the prelims, the SDSU quartet of Whitney Weisz, Apostalon, Savannah Miller and Bailey went 3:17.34 in the 400 freestyle relay. That time placed them 20th and just outside qualification for the evening finals. Despite not advancing, the foursome's time enters the SDSU record book as the second-fastest mark in program history.

Over the course of the three-day met, four Aztecs earned honorable mention All-America honors. Apostalon won individual honors for advancing to the consolation finals in both the 50 and 100 freestyle races. In addition, she along with teammates Bailey, Weisz and Taylor Johnson were named honorable mention All-Americans for their performance in the 200 freestyle relay on the meet's opening day.
