NEWS AND NOTES (all notes through Jan. 28 games)
* Saturday is the seventh all-time series meeting with San Diego State and Utah State tied at three victories apiece.
* The Aztecs have won the last three games played between the teams (by 5, 15 and 34 points) and that encompasses all three games since Utah State joined the Mountain West.
* San Diego State has handed Utah State three of their last 16 overall losses.
* San Diego State has won five of its last six games (5-1) and nine of its last 11 contests (9-2).
* San Diego State has won a school-record 26 consecutive home games. The streak is the fifth-longest active streak nationally. In those 26 games, San Diego State led wire-to-wire nine times and never trailed in the second half of 19 of those games.
* During the home winning streak, San Diego State has outscored its opponents 1,748-1,285 (average of 67.2-49.4). The Aztecs have held their opponents to 34.5-percent field-goal shooting (480-of-1,392) and 24.1 percent from three-point range (114-of-474).
* No opponent has scored more than 66 points during the 26-game home winning streak and five opponents have been held to 39 points or less. SDSU has also outrebounded its opponent 17 times.
