SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State women's lacrosse team, coming off its first postseason berth in the program's three-year history, will host its Winter Defrost Clinic on Saturday, Jan. 31, from 9-11:30 a.m. PT, at Aztec Lacrosse Field.
The clinic is open to any and all girls in grades 8-12, who are looking to prepare for their high school, middle school and club team tryouts. The event will focus on stick work, shooting and other important fundamentals. Those interested can register here.
"This intensive two-and-a-half-hour clinic will be sure to get everyone excited for the upcoming season," SDSU head coach Kylee White said.
San Diego State begins its 2015 season with a home exhibition contest against Western Ontario on Feb. 15, beginning at noon PT at Aztec Lacrosse Field. The Aztecs officially begin their season on the road against Florida on Feb. 20, which is one of four games they'll play against teams who made the 2014 NCAA Tournament.
SDSU set several new program records in 2014, including most Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) victories (4), most road victories (4), and most conference player of the week honors (6). The Aztecs return 13 players who started at least five games last season, while its 2014 recruiting class features four All-Americans, four all-State selections and three transfers from other Division I programs.
