SAN DIEGO - Coming off its first-ever appearance in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Championships, the San Diego State women's lacrosse team will host two separate camps this summer, beginning with the Elite Camp June 30-July 3, followed by the Day Only Camp July 7-10.

The Elite Camp is for players ages 13-18, with both overnight and commuter options available. It includes an advanced skills program that focuses on position play, team concepts and an overall intense level of competition, while campers will also have the opportunity to compete in games against each other.

The Day Only Camp is available for players age 8-14, and will be held each day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. All facets of the game will be covered during the four-day stretch, including stick skills, position play and team concepts.

During all sessions, goalkeepers will also receive training aimed to develop their individual techniques as well as instructions in game-like situations. Each goalie will also participate in shooting drills along with drills designed to include goalkeepers as an integral part of team defense.

Other highlights include superior instructions from college coaches and players, a reversible mesh Nike practice jersey for each player, in addition to Nike and STX prizes for outstanding play, sportsmanship and improvement.

Registration fee for the Elite Camp is $575 for overnight members and $475 for commuters, while the Day Only Camp fee is $225. There are team discounts available for each. Those interested can register here.

San Diego State set new program records in the 2014 campaign, including most conference victories (4), most road victories (4) and most conference player of the week honors (6). It also earned its first-ever overtime win, and made its first postseason appearance. Furthermore, the Aztecs played four teams that made the NCAA Tournament and six teams who at least received votes in either the IWLCA Coaches Poll or the Brine Women's Media Poll.
