SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State women's rowing team traveled north to Los Angeles on Sunday morning to participate in an exhibition against UCLA. The Aztecs took one crew to face the Bruins, who finished ninth as a team at the 2013 NCAA Tournament.

"This exhibition was a good challenge (for our team) and a great opportunity to get an idea of how fast we are," said first-year head coach Bill Zack. "We have implemented changes in nearly every phase of running the Aztec rowing program, so we hope to see an improvement this season."

Allison Litzinger (bow), Hillary Lupo, Sarah Hultin, Cassie Wilson, Julia Brockherde, Chelsee Brewster, Vera Brockherde, Kate Raymond (stroke), and Shawna Rogers (coxswain) represented San Diego State on Sunday.

The exhibition was the final tune-up for SDSU before the San Diego Fall Classic which will be on November 10.
