TUCSON, Ariz. - A trio of San Diego State divers competed at the Arizona Diving Invitational Friday afternoon at the University of Arizona's Hillenbrand Aquatic center in Tucson. SDSU freshman Marlee Kersting advanced to the consolation finals where she finished eighth.

In the prelims, Kersting placed 1th with a score of 245.65 for her six dives. Sophomore Chandler Marshall and Kelsey Bean placed 31st and 32nd respectively out of a field of 43 competitors. Marshall tallied a score of 212.70 while Bean's final total was 203.40.

In the consolation final, Kersting's point total of 220.50 was just .05 out of seventh place. Nevada's Stephanie Hansen led the consolation bracket with a score of 292.15 while Arizona's Samantha Pickens was the 3-meter champion with a mark of 347.80 points.

Action at the Arizona Diving Invitational will continue on Saturday, Nov. 23, with the 1-meter springboard competition set to get underway at noon (MT),
