TULSA, Okla. - The San Diego State men's tennis' doubles team of senior Hunter Nicholas (Park City, Utah) and junior Thorsten Bertsch (Mannheim, Germany) lost in the ITA All-American Main Doubles Draw on Thursday, falling to East Carolina's team of Colin Roller and Joran Viegen, 8-4.
Bertsch and Nicholas received all-MW accolades in doubles play last dual season, finishing 8-10 in the No. 1 doubles slot, with a 3-1 record in conference play. The duo had a season-high three-match winning streak, and finished the regular season on a two-match winning streak.
SDSU is hosting the Aztec Invitational this weekend, Oct. 4-6, at Aztec Tennis Center.
