• San Diego State is now 46-40-5 in season-opening games. <>BR>• The Aztec defense has forced two or more turnovers in three of its last four games.
• SDSU allowed an opponent to return a punt for a touchdown for the first time since the 2011 New Orleans Bowl. San Diego State has allowed just four since at least 1996.

• The Aztecs have received the ball first in 16 straight games, dating back to last season, the longest streak in the nation.
• SDSU falls to 10-5 in the Rocky Long era when scoring first.

• San Diego State falls to 1-1 all-time against Eastern Illinois. The Aztecs defeated the Panthers, 40-7, on Oct. 6, 2001, in their first-ever meeting.
