SAN DIEGO - The No. 20 San Diego State track and field team won seven individual events last night (Saturday) at the Arnie Robinson Invitational at San Diego Mesa College.
Jasmine Burrell led the way with wins in both the shot put and discus throw. Burrell won the shot put with a heave of 45 feet, 8 ½ inches and claimed the discus with a toss of 163-01.
Allison Reaser, meanwhile, cleared 5-01.00 to win the high jump and Karen Snapper 11-06.50 to take the pole vault.
On the track, the Aztecs claimed individual titles in three events, including Thoraya Maronsey in the 100 meters (13.35 seconds), Nicole Oudenaarden in the 200 (25.01) and Hannah Sawatzki in the 5,000 (18:44.64).
SDSU is back in action Wednesday (April 17) at the Mt. SAC heptathlon.
