COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A trio of San Diego State divers participated at the Zone E Regional meet held this weekend at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. Anna Steiner and Ashley Stott competed in all three events while freshman Chandler Marshall took part in the 1-meter and 3-meter competitions.

In Thursday's (March 14) 3-meter diving, Steiner finished 10th in the preliminary round with a score of 295.70 to advance to the 18-diver finals. Her score in the six-dive finals round was 287.55 with her total score of 583.25 placing her 12th overall.

Stott scored 236.90 (36th) while Marshall finished with a mark of 225.25 (44th) in the prelims where 49 divers competed, but only 18 advanced to the finals.

In the 1-meter diving conducted on Friday (March 15), Steiner was again the Aztecs' top finisher as she placed 21st in the prelims with a score of 257/90. Stott was 33rd with a mark of 235.15 while Marshall's score of 216.45 was 41st.

Saturday's (March 16) platform diving competition saw Steiner place 22nd after the preliminary round with a score of 192.95. Stott finished 34th with her mark of 163.65.

While none of the Aztec divers qualified for next week's NCAA Championships in Indianapolis, several SDSU swimmers will be participating in the national championship meet. That group includes Mikaela Macklin (200 & 400 IM, 200 breaststroke), Katelyn Weddle (100 & 200 breaststroke) and Leona Jennings (100 & 200 backstroke) plus relay swimmers Meghan Zimmer, Whitney Weisz and Gemma Johnson.
