LOS ANGELES - San Diego State finished up day three of the UCLA Diving Invitational with five divers competing in the platform diving event. The Aztecs were once again led by junior Anna Steiner, who placed 15th of 38 competitors.

Steiner's score of 194.10 in the preliminary round was just seven points shy of qualifying for the finals which consisted of the top 12 divers following the prelims.

SDSU's three freshmen competitors all turned in scores that go into the Aztec record book among the all-time top 10 on the platform.

Kelsey Bean's total of 179.70 points was the eight-highest total in school history as she finished 18th. Fellow frosh Ashley Stott (173.70 - 24th) and Chandler Marshall (171.10 - 26th) turned in scores that ranks ninth and 10th all-time for Aztec divers.

The Aztecs other entry, senior Rafaella Suarez ended the afternoon with171.30, good enough for 25th place.

Up next for the San Diego State swimming and diving team is a trip to the Midwest where they will face Nebraska on Saturday, Jan. 19, at 11:00 a.m. (CT) at the Cornhuskers' Devaney Center Natatorium.
