SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State football team has 14 former Aztecs on 2012 National Football League rosters. SDSU is tied for second in the Mountain West with Fresno State and only trails Boise State (20).
The list includes four players from last year's team in long snapper Aaron Brewer, linebacker Miles Burris, running back Ronnie Hillman and quarterback Ryan Lindley. Three of those players are on AFC West rosters, including Brewer and Hillman with the Denver Broncos and Burris with the Oakland Raiders. Lindley, meanwhile, is with the Arizona Cardinals.
Former wide outs Vincent Brown (San Diego Chargers), Kassim Osgood (Detroit Lions) and Chaz Schilens (New York Jets) are also on the list along with offensive linemen Brandyn Dombrowski (San Diego Chargers) and Lance Louis (Chicago Bears). Rounding out the list of former Aztecs are defensive end Antwan Applewhite (Carolina Panthers) and linebackers Russell Allen (Jacksonville Jaguars), Heath Farwell (Seattle Seahawks), Matthew McCoy (Seattle Seahawks) and Kirk Morrison (Buffalo Bills).
