SAN DIEGO - San Diego State men's golf head coach Ryan Donovan announced the signing Tuesday of Robert Gojuangco (San Diego, Calif.) and Ben Rogers (Sorrento, Australia). Gojuangco will be a freshman, while Rogers will be a sophomore for the upcoming 2012-13 campaign and both are slated to come to campus later this month.

Gojuangco is the third Torrey Pines High graduate on this year's Aztec roster, joining fellow newcomers Gunn Yang and Michael Koeneke. Gojuangco was a member of a Falcon squad that claimed three-straight Southern California Regional championships and a state title in 2011. As a senior, he helped Torrey Pines take fourth at the state tournament, carding a 76 to tie as the Falcons' second-highest finisher. His junior campaign he was a first-team all-CIF choice and also had exceled in the classroom by earning a spot on the Union-Tribune all-academic boys' golf team.

Gojuangco took first place in the PGA Junior Series Qualifier in June, which qualified him for the PGA Junior Series Finals. He also participated in the Callaway Junior World Golf Championships, won the San Diego North County Conference Championships and was the top finisher at the FCG Las Vegas Championship and World Qualifier.

Rogers graduated from Rosebud Secondary College in Rosebud, Victoria, in December 2010, before taking a year and a half off to concentrate on golf. He is currently 28th in the latest Australian Amateur Open Men's Rankings and advanced to the match play quarterfinals at the Western Australia State Amateur Championship in March. Rogers won the Peninsula District Golf Association Junior Championship in April 2010, and tied for second place at the Victorian Junior Masters that same year. In addition, he was the individual winner and captain of the first-place Australian team in the Pacific Cup (Australia vs. USA) in January 2011.

Rogers and Gojuangco are two of the 10 newcomers who will be on this year's Aztec roster. Seniors Tom Berry and Cameron Tennant are the only returning Aztecs who saw action in 2011-12, when SDSU tied for fifth nationally and won its second consecutive Mountain West Conference title.
