LOS ANGELES - The San Diego State track and field team competed in its final meet of the non-championship season Saturday at the Oxy Invitational in Los Angeles.

Holly Waseloff led the way for the Aztecs by tying for fifth in the pole vault out of 23 entrants with a clear of 12 feet, 4 ½ inches. Rebecca Turnbow finished in a tie for 14th with a mark of 10-10.75.

In the triple jump, Thoraya Maronsey took sixth of 12 with a leap of 37-06.75. It was a season-best jump for Maronsey.

Ellie Fanaika, meanwhile, was 10th in the hammer throw out of 26 starters with a toss of 181-04. It was the second-best mark of her career for Fanaika, who has the second-best throw in program history of 184-02, set on April 20 at the Beach Invitational.

On the track, Josefine Koskinen took eighth out of 52 runners in the 800 meters with a time of 2 minutes, 7.87 seconds. It was the sixth-fastest time in school history. Hannah Winokur was 39th in the event in 2:20.89.

In the 5,000, Marianne Hogan was 19th of 60 entrants with a season-best time of 17:23.11. It was more than 23 seconds faster than her last week's time of 17:46.17.

The four-day MW Championships begins Wednesday with the first day of the heptathlon at noon MT in Colorado Springs, Colo.
