SAN DIEGO - Allison Reaser won the long jump and the 400-meter hurdles, and Moriah Roberge captured the pole vault title to pace a small contingent of the San Diego State track and field team Saturday at the Point Loma Nazarene Collegiate Meet.
Reaser defeated 13 others in the long jump with a leap of 19 feet, 3 ½ inches, which edged UC San Diego's Erin Langford (19-03.25) and was a season-best mark. She then took third in the javelin (113-01) before ending her day with dominant win in the 400 hurdles. Reaser beat 13 others with a time of 1 minute, 1.18 seconds, almost four seconds faster than runner-up finisher Caitlin Meagher of UC San Diego (1:05.04).
Roberge, meanwhile, won pole vault over 15 other competitors by clearing 11-09.00. The mark bested her last weekend's result of 11-08.50, which was set at the Aztec Invitational.
Other top-five finishers for the Aztecs on Saturday included Rebecca Turnbow in the pole vault (third, 10-09.00), Sarah Haydock in the shot put (fourth, 30-07.75) and Kaitlyn Harrison in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (fifth, 13:16.21).
SDSU looks to defend its title in the Cal/Nevada Championships this weekend (March 31-April 1) in Claremont, Calif.
