Senior Whitney Ashley took seventh in the shot put at the USA Indoor Track and Field Championships Sunday at the Albuquerque Convention Center in Albuquerque, N.M.
Ashley, who yesterday won the shot put at the Mountain West Indoor Championships, finished seventh of 10 entrants with a throw of 53 feet, 3 ¾ inches. New York AC's Jillian Camarena-Williams won the event with a toss of 64-02.25.
Earlier this year, Ashley posted a mark of 55-07.50, which is a school record and is ranked ninth in the country
