2011 Fall Schedule in PDF Format

The San Diego State softball team has released its 2011 fall schedule, head coach Kathy Van Wyk announced today. For the sixth consecutive year, all of the Aztecs' fall games will be played at SDSU Softball Stadium.

The nine-game slate is highlighted by a Nov. 4 contest against the National Pro Fastpitch All-Stars. Team NPF is comprised of athletes from the four NPF teams - Akron Racers, Chicago Bandits, Tennessee Diamonds and USSSA Florida Pride - and includes an accomplished list of competitors. Last year, the NPF team made 18 stops on college campuses across the country, including a Nov. 12 stop in San Diego for a game against the Aztecs.

Tickets for the Nov. 4 NPF game are $5 and are available by calling the Aztec softball office at (619) 594-2345. Admission to the rest of the team's fall games are free.

SDSU kicks off its fall schedule on Friday, Oct. 21, when it plays host to Vanguard at 4 p.m. PT. The following day, San Diego State meets Santa Ana CC for a 1 p.m. PT showdown.

The Aztecs then welcome the NPF All-Stars on Nov. 4 (6 p.m. PT), before hosting Palomar CC and San Diego (USD) on Nov. 5. SDSU will play Palomar CC at 11 a.m. PT and the Toreros at 4 p.m. PT. Palomar and San Diego will meet in the middle game (1:30 p.m. PT).

San Diego State has another busy weekend the on Nov. 11-12, hosting Cypress on the 11th (1 p.m. PT) and a four-team tournament on the 12th. UC San Diego and the Aztecs kick things off at 11 a.m. PT, followed by UCSD and San Diego at 1:30 p.m. PT, Cal State San Marcos and USD at 4 p.m. PT and CSUSM and SDSU at 6:30 p.m. PT.

San Diego State ends its fall season on Nov. 19 with the annual Alumni Game. First pitch is scheduled for noon PT.
