AUSTIN, Texas - San Diego State sophomore Katelyn Weddle and freshman Kelly Marquenie both competed in the prelims of their respective events at today's session of the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships being conducted in Austin Texas.

Weddle, making her first appearance of the meet, turned in a time of 1:01.85 in the 100 breaststroke. That mark place her 35th of the 49 swimmers in the event as she as unable to advance to the final round where she finished 12th in 2010.

Marquenie, a distance specialist, competed in the 200 freestyle and finished with a time of 1:49.65. The first-year Aztec from gold Coast, Australia, also did not move on the finals.
