San Diego State capped off a perfect dual meet season with a victory at USD on Feb. 5. The win allowed the Aztecs to finish their 2010-11 regular season with an overall record of 19-0 for a perfect 1.000 winning percentage. SDSU's 19 wins is a record for the swimming and diving program. The previous high was 14 set last season. The team's previous best winning percentage for a season came last year when it went 14-3 for an .824 mark.

SDSU CAPTURES MWC DUAL MEET TITLE
With the win over Wyoming on Jan. 28, San Diego State claimed its first-ever Mountain West Conference regular season dual meet championship. Prior to the 2010-11 campaign, the team's best MWC season came last year when it finished the season in third place with a 5-3 record.

HEAD COACH MIKE SHRADER
SDSU head coach Mike Shrader is in his fourth season with the Aztecs and has compiled a dual meet record of 50-13 (.794) during his tenure. Shrader was named the Mountain West Conference Coach of the Year at the conclusion of MWC championship meet each of the past two seasons (co-coach in 2009). His career record including eight seasons at Nevada stands at 139-25-1 (.845).

NON-CONFERENCE WIN STREAK CONTINUES
With the victory at USD earlier this month, SDSU extended its streak of consecutive dual meet victories against non-conference opponents to 36. The last loss to a non-MWC team was a defeat at North Texas on Nov. 17, 2006. In Head Coach Mike Shrader's three-plus seasons, the Aztecs have not lost to a non-conference foe. San Diego State's current dual meet winning streak (which will carry over to next season) stands at 22 in a row including the final three contests from the 2009-10 campaign.

LAST TIME OUT
The San Diego State swimming and diving concluded its dual meet season with a 150-136 win at the University of San Diego on Feb. 5. Over the course of the meet, San Diego State won 10 of the 12 individual swimming races with nine different Aztecs claiming first-place finishes. Sophomore Meghan Zimmer was the Aztecs' lone swimmer to win two events on the day as she took first in both the 100 and 200 backstroke. Other winners included Kelly Marquenie (1000 freestyle), Katelyn Weddle (100 breaststroke), Brooke Vessey (200 butterfly). Kim Bierwith (50 free), Stephanie Koch (100 free), Melanie Garibaldi (500 free), Mikaela Macklin (200 breaststroke) and Leona Jennings (200 breast).

DIVER DOMINATES
At the meet against USD, junior Kristen Meier was victorious in both the 1-meter (298.65) and 3-meter (279.45) diving competitions. It marked the seventh time in SDSU's last eight dual meets that she swept both events. She has been named the Mountain West Conference Diver of the Week four times during the 2010-11 season.
