San Diego State Athletics will play host to two fan events next week, leading into the Aztec football team's appearance in the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl on Dec. 23, at Qualcomm Stadium.
On Tues., Dec. 21, an official Aztec party will be held following the Poinsettia Bowl Gaslamp March, which will feature both schools' bands and spirit squads. The private party will take place from 7-10 p.m. at Jimmy Love's, located at 672 5th Avenue in downtown. Tickets cost $50 each and include heavy appetizers, a drink ticket and live music. SDSU head football coach Brady Hoke will also make a special appearance and all ages are welcome.
On game day, Aztec Village will be open from 2-4:30 p.m. for a pregame tailgate party in the F2 section of the Qualcomm Stadium parking lot. Tickets are $20 for lunch only and $40 for lunch and inclusive beer and wine. The tailgate is both family and kid-friendly.
