SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State track and field team will host its annual Red and Black Inter-Squad meet Friday (Dec. 3) at Aztrack Sports Deck. The meet kicks off at 1 p.m. PT with the pole vault and high jump.
The annual meet splits the team up to two sides - red and black. The two sides then compete against each other in a dual-meet setting. The annual competition, which has been taking place on The Mesa for numerous years, routinely goes down to the wire and is often decided by the relay at the end of the day. Cal State San Marcos (women and men) and unattached competitors will also compete at the meet, but only SDSU's red and black teams will be scored.
Following the pole vault and high jump, the running events get underway at 1:30 p.m. PT with the women and men's 3,000 meters. The day concludes with the women's 4 x 200-meter relay at 3:20 p.m. PT. In addition, there will also be a special coach's 4 x 200.
Admission is free to the event.
