TEAM NOTES

- Next Saturday, San Diego State will enter a home game with an above .500 record for the first time since Oct. 4, 2003, when the 3-2 Aztecs played host to Brigham Young.

- SDSU scored on its opening drive of a game for the first time in 2010, and the first time overall since last year's season-opener at UCLA, when the Aztecs also notched a touchdown (span of 14 games).

- SDSU has already surpassed its season total for rushing touchdowns from all of last year with 11, including three tonight. The Aztecs had only eight rushing scores in 12 outings a year ago ... SDSU has two or more rushing TDs in three straight games for the first time since the last three games of the 2007 campaign.

- On Walter Kazee's first-quarter score, SDSU has now scored a touchdown in 41 straight games ... SDSU had scored in nine straight quarters prior to tonight's third quarter.

- With Ronnie Hillman's fourth-quarter touchdown, SDSU had a lead over a ranked opponent for the first time since going up on No. 9 Ohio State 6-0 on Sept. 17, 2005, in Columbus.

- SDSU has reached the 400-yard mark in total offense in four consecutive games for the first time since 1996 (at SJSU, 586; Wyoming 520, at UNLV 670, Fresno State 537)

- The Aztecs have rushed for at least 200 yards in three-straight games for the first time since 1998 (235 yards at Tulsa, 263 yards vs. Hawai'i, 349 yards at New Mexico).

PLAYER NOTES

Ronnie Hillman, Freshman RB: Became the 17th player in SDSU history to record a 200-yard rushing effort ... It is the 33rd time an Aztec has run for over 200 yards ... The last time an Aztec ran for over 200 yards in a game was in 2003 by Lynell Hamilton (218 vs. Wyoming) ... His 228 yards is the 16th-best in school history ... His 93-yard rush in the fourth quarter is second-longest in school history, longest in the Div. I era and longest overall since 1952 ... First Aztec to have back-to-back 100-yard rushing games since Atiyyah Henderson in 2006 (142 yards vs. Air Force, 140 vs. Cal Poly) ... His 75-yard run in the third quarter is the second-longest of his career (prev. 44 at NMSU) and is SDSU's first run of 70 or more yards since Atiyyah Henderson's 72-yard effort against Colorado State in 2008 ... The 75-yard run is tied for 12th-longest in school history ... Has a rushing touchdown in three-straight contests and has seven so far in 2010.

Ryan Lindley, Junior QB: Saw his streak of pass attempts without an interception come to an end at 116 in the third quarter, dating back to the UNLV game last year ... Moved into fourth in SDSU history in career completions, passing Dan McGwire, who had 528 from 1989-90.

Abel Perez, Junior PK: Had four touchbacks on his kickoffs tonight, giving him 11 on the year ... SDSU only had two touchbacks on kickoffs in 2009 ... Has a field goal in each of the team's three games this season.

Brian Stahovich, Junior P: Has seven kicks for more than 50 yards this season and has 32 career, 50+-yard kicks in his career ... Tied his career long with a 67-yard punt in the third quarter (also 67 yards at Utah in 2009), which also ties as the 12th-longest in school history ... Moved into fourth in school history in career punting yardage.

OTHER NOTES

- Aztec tight end Bryce Quigley made his collegiate debut tonight and becomes the fifth true freshman to play for SDSU so far this season (Fely, Hillman, Siluano, Thomas)

- Tight end D.J. Shields and running back Walter Kazee logged their first starts of the 2010 season tonight.

- SDSU allowed its first sack of the year mid-way through the second quarter.

- Junior linebacker Miles Burris forced his first career fumble in the second half, while junior defensive lineman Neil Spencer recovered his first career fumble on the same play.

- Former walk-on and senior Darryn Lewis posted his first career interception in the fourth quarter. It is also SDSU's first of the 2010 campaign ... SDSU sophomore Leon McFadden recorded his second career INT in the second half.
