SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State Aztecs have been projected to reach their first bowl game since 1998 by the Phil Steele College Football 2010 Preview. The annual publication is predicting a berth in the Dec. 18 New Mexico Bowl in Brady Hoke's second season on Montezuma Mesa.

Steele has also singled out six Aztecs in his positional rankings. Five of those six will line up on the offensive side of the ball for coordinator Al Borges, who enters his second season at SDSU. Junior quarterback Ryan Lindley was ranked No. 38 on Steele's list of draft eligible quarterbacks.

Lindley's favorite targets, Vincent Brown and DeMarco Sampson, were ranked No. 10 and No. 62, respectively, on Steele's list of top wide receivers. Tight end Alston Umuolo was ranked No. 15 among the nation's top tight ends, and senior center Trask Iosefa was also ranked the 28th-best center in the country by Steele. Defensively, Miles Burris was ranked No. 40 on the list of top inside linebackers.

The Aztecs kick off their 2010 season with a home date against Nicholls State on Sept 4. Other important dates include, the KGB Sky Show, which is scheduled for Sept. 25 against Utah State, and Kirk Morrison Replica Jersey Night, which is set for Nov. 20 against Utah.

Season tickets start at just $56 for six games. Tickets are available through the San Diego State ticket office at (619) 283-7378.
