SAN DIEGO - Senior Karoline Koehler wrapped up a stellar career with San Diego State when she finished fourth in the triple jump on the final day of the 2010 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Fayetteville, Ark. Redshirt junior Stephanie James, meanwhile, finished in a tie for 12th in the pole vault, while the rest of the Aztecs competed in the Aztec Track and Field Classic.

Koehler earned her sixth career All-America certificate with a school-record jump of 44 feet, 10 ¾ inches. Koehler was in sixth after her first three jumps, but vaulted into fourth place with her personal-best leap in the final flight. Yesterday, Koehler was fourth in the long jump with a school-record effort of 21-07.50.

James finished in a tie for 12th in the pole vault with Purdue's Brianna Neumann with a jump of 13-09.25. James came into the weekend with the school record, the Mountain West Conference record and the MWC championship meet record mark of 14-01.25 in the event.

The rest of the SDSU team continued its start to the outdoor season at the Aztec Track and Field Classic. Eight Aztecs won their respective event, including Kai Wheeler in the triple jump, Katie Morgan in the pole vault and Nicole Stone in the 400-meter dash. Wheeler set a collegiate best mark in the triple jump of 40-07.00, the sixth-best mark in school history. Morgan vaulted 13-01.50, a San Diego State personal best and seventh-best in program history, while Stone put together one of the fastest 400's in the country this early in the season with a time of 53.93.

Other winners in the invite events on the day were Alicia King in the 100 (12.24), Josefine Koskinen in the 800 (2:14.16), Alma Escobar in the 5,000 (18:51.63) and Kierstan Kirkland in the 400-meter hurdles (1:03.46).

SDSU will be back in action on Saturday (March 20) at the Trojan Invitational in Los Angeles, Calif.
