TEAM NOTES
* San Diego State advanced to its third-straight MWC championship game. The Aztecs are the fourth different school in conference history to turn that trick, joining BYU (4 straight), Utah (3 straight) and New Mexico (3 straight). SDSU is 0-2 in MWC championship games.

* San Diego State secured its second consecutive 20-win season with a victory this afternoon. The Aztecs improved to 20-10 overall and were 24-8 in 2008-09. It is the first back-to-back 20-win campaigns for SDSU since the 1995-96 team won 20 and the 1996-97 claimed 23.

* San Diego State is the third No. 3 seed to advance to the MWC championship game in the 11-year history of the league.

* San Diego State's 30-point win is its largest margin of victory in an MWC tournament contest. It is the Aztecs' largest margin of victory in a conference tournament outing since a 35-point win over New Mexico in the 1994 WAC quarterfinals. That season, the Aztecs went on to win the 1994 WAC title.

* SDSU improves to 3-0 in MWC semifinal contests ... SDSU is 19-20 all-time in conference tournament outings.

* SDSU improves to 15-26 all-time vs. BYU and is 1-1 vs. the Cougars in the MWC tournament. The Aztecs have won five of the last seven in the series overall.

* San Diego State finished with 21 assists on 27 field goals. Six Aztecs finished with at least two assists and five had three or more.

* The Aztecs' 77 points are the most in a single conference tournament game since they scored 95 against New Mexico in the 1994 WAC quarterfinals. SDSU's 44 first-half points were the most in an opening period of an MWC tournament game since putting up 36 vs. TCU in 2008.

* San Diego State shot 52.9 percent from the field, marking the seventh time this season it has shot at least 50 percent from the field this season.

* Jené Morris (Game-high 28 points, 10-14 FG, 6-6 FT, game-high 6 assists, game-high 6 steals) - Moved into fourth place on the Aztecs' career scoring list after scoring a game-high 28 points... Morris now has 1,406 career points... The senior led the team in scoring for the 14th time this season... The 28 points matched the SDSU school record for points scored in a conference tournament game; Kieishsha Garnes scored 28 vs. Wyoming on March 12, 1982... Morris posted her fifth career 20-point game in seven career MWC tournament games... She has scored at least 20 points in three of her last four MWC tournament outings... Led the all players in steals for the second straight game after she finished with six... Morris finished with six assists, which is one off her season high.

* Quenese Davis (18 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals) - Tied Michelle Suman for the all-time program record for most consecutive starts, making her 118th straight and 120th overall in her career ... Davis has played in all 121 contests over her four-year Aztec career... Scored in double figures for the fifth straight game and for the 19th time this season.

* Paris Johnson (10 points, 5 rebounds, 1 blocked shot, 2 steals) - Reached double figures in scoring for the third straight game and for the 19th time this season... Posted her ninth straight game with at least one blocked shot.
