LAS VEGAS (AP) - Jené Morris scored 28 points to lead San Diego State past BYU 77-47 in the semifinals of the Mountain West Conference tournament Friday.
Morris, the conference's scoring leader, was 10 of 14 from the field and had six assists and six steals as the third-seeded Aztecs (20-10) reached the championship game for the third consecutive year.
Quenese Davis added 18 points for the Aztecs.
After falling behind 4-0, San Diego State scored 10 straight points and never trailed again. The Aztecs led 44-29 at halftime.
San Diego State has posted back-to-back 20-win seasons for the first time since 1995-96 and 1996-97.
Coriann Wood led the second-seeded Cougars (20-9) with 11 points.
San Diego State will play fourth-seeded Utah on Saturday in a rematch of last year's title game, won by the Utes. The Aztecs lost by only three points in the 2008 final to New Mexico.
