SEATTLE/AZUSA, Calif. - Senior Karoline Koehler finished up her participation at the Washington Husky Classic in Seattle, while a handful of other San Diego State track and field members competed at the Azusa Pacific Indoor Qualifier.
Koehler finished second of 54 in the long jump with a leap of 20 feet, 4.50 inches. The jump was good enough to qualify provisionally for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, but it did not beat her jump of 20-09.00 on Jan. 30 at the Mountain T's Invitational.
Koehler also competed in the 60-meter dash, taking third of 46 entrants in 7.50 seconds, 0.01 better than her preliminary time. Koehler's best time this season is 7.40 (7.44 altitude conversion), which was set on Jan. 30.
Meanwhile, at Azusa Pacific, senior Rachel Williams recorded a 5:13.20 clocking in the outdoor mile. Sarah Kaster tied for second in the high jump with a new personal-best jump of 5-05.00.
In addition, the pole vaulters helped raise money for Leon T. Roach at the Leon T. Roach Vault-A-Thon at nearby UC San Diego.
