SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State water polo team and Ocean Minded recently joined forces and participated in a beach clean-up at nearby La Jolla Shores.
The Aztecs, who finished the 2009 season ranked No. 8 in the country, completed their team's annual beach workouts and put the final touches on it by cleaning up the beach and its surrounding areas. The clean-up, in conjunction with Ocean Minded, was the first of many scheduled throughout the fall semester.
Since 1996, Ocean Minded has organized community beach clean-ups around the world and stresses the "importance of leaving their chosen playgrounds in better condition than when they were found."
