SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State men's basketball team will travel to Saint Mary's for a game that will be nationally televised on ESPN as part of the network's College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon. Although the marathon is technically Tuesday, Nov. 17, the Aztecs and Gaels will renew their rivalry on Monday, Nov. 16 at 11 p.m. PT.

The event features 19 games in a 24-hour period on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN360.com. The San Diego State-Saint Mary's game is the second contest of the marathon college basketball coverage, with a Cal State Fullerton at UCLA game starting ESPN's coverage at 9 p.m. PT.

San Diego State and Saint Mary's are meeting for the fourth consecutive season and 10th time overall. Last season, the teams split a pair of games with the Gaels earning a 67-64 decision on Dec. 13 at the Wooden Classic in Anaheim. The Aztecs got revenge in the third round of the postseason NIT event with a 70-66 victory in front of a sold-out crowd at Viejas Arena on the SDSU campus. That game was broadcast by ESPN2.

Overall, Saint Mary's has a 5-4 edge in the series that dates back to 1961. In Moraga, the Gaels have won two of three meetings. San Diego State was victorious in its last visit to McKeon Pavilion, as Brandon Heath sank a pair of free throws with 16 seconds remaining to lift the Aztecs to a 74-73 win on Nov. 11, 2006. The Aztecs are coming off a 2008-09 season in which they won a school-record 26 games and advanced to the postseason NIT semifinals at Madison Square Garden in New York City. SDSU has won 20 or more games and advanced to the postseason a school-record tying four straight seasons and returns two-time all-conference performer Billy White, two-year starter D.J. Gay, sophomore Tim Shelton and a top-15 recruiting class.

San Diego State 2009-10 season tickets start at $99 for reserved chair-back seats and are available now. Season tickets can be purchased online at GoAztecs.com or by calling the Aztec Ticket Office at (619) 283-7378.

San Diego State expects to release the remaining non-conference schedule within the next week.
