FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) -Lorrenzo Wade scored a season-high 25 points as San Diego State beat Colorado State 78-59 Saturday night to keep pace with UNLV and Utah atop the Mountain West Conference.

Kyle Spain added 15 points and eight rebounds for San Diego State (15-5, 5-2 Mountain West), which has beaten Colorado State six straight times in the regular season.

The win was the Aztec's eighth in 10 games.

Willis Gardner and Marcus Walker led Colorado State (7-15, 2-6) with 12 points each. The Rams shot 42 percent in their third straight loss.

Wade accounted for all eight of his teams points early in the second half as San Diego State pulled ahead 43-30. Harvey Perry's 3-pointer got the Rams as close as 43-35 with 15:18 left, but the Aztecs put the game away with an 11-0 run capped by Spain's layup that made it 70-47 with seven minutes to go.
