SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State men's tennis team will begin preparations for its season-opening trip to Hawaii and its home season opener vs. USC with its first practice on Monday, Jan. 5, at Aztec Tennis Center.

The Aztecs will travel to the nation's 50th state for the University of Hawaii Classic, Jan. 17-18. The two-day event will feature a dual match with Hawaii and round-robin singles and doubles action.

Following its trip to Hawaii, SDSU will participate in the ITA Kick-Off Tournament and will open play against Georgia Tech on Jan. 30 in Waco, Texas. The next day, the Aztecs will take on either Baylor or Utah in the second round.

On Feb. 4, the road trip continues as San Diego State will take on traditional power UCLA at Los Angeles Tennis Center at 1:30 p.m., before coming home to face USC at noon in SDSU's home opener at Aztec Tennis Center on Feb. 6. Later that day, the Aztecs will play UC Riverside at 5 p.m. to close out its home-opening doubleheader.
