Team Notes
-With the fourth quarter touchdown, San Diego State extended its streak of scoring at least one touchdown to 24 consecutive games.

-Emilio Rivera (LG) and Waika Spencer (TE) both made their first career starts this afternoon, bringing the number of Aztecs who have started at least one game this year to 40. With Mike Schmidt missing his first start in 22 games at left guard, only seven players for SDSU have started all 10 games this year.

-With Mike Schmidt, Nick Sandford, Matthew Kawulok and Gerard Armstrong not playing today, SDSU's number of players to play every game dropped to 20 (four seniors, seven juniors, five sophomores, four freshman (two redshirt, two true)).

-SDSU has succesfully converted each of its two fake punt attempts this season, including one today in the first quarter by Russell Allen. The other one game against Colorado State, when punter Brian Stahovich rushed 21 yards for a first down.

-The SDSU defense had eight tackles for loss, its most in a MWC game this season. SDSU had 11 TFL's against San Jose State. The Aztecs also matched a season-best with three sacks.

-The 41 points matches as the second-lowest for BYU in a home game this season.

-Individual Notes

-Russell Allen - Started his 34th consecutive game ... Recorded his first career rush on SDSU's successful fake punt attempt in the first quarter ... Has at least two tackles in 46 straight games and three or more in 44 of 46 career games.

-Corey Boudreaux - Caused his second fumble of the season and the third of his career in the third quarter ... Boudreaux now has five double-digit tackle games this season and five in the last six outings ... Has eight career games with 10 or more stops ... Has led or been tied for the lead in tackles in five games this season.

-Tyler Campbell - Recorded a career-best in rushing yards with 41 yards on just four carries ... Previous high was 24 yards vs. Idaho.

-Ryan Lindley - Saw his career-best streak of consecutive passes without an interception end at 67 in the second quarter.

-Jerome Long - Logged his first career sack in the fourth quarter.

-Emilio Rivera - Made his first career start at left guard.

-Waika Spencer - Made his first career start at tight end.

-Brian Stahovich - Recorded his 10th consecutive punt of either 40 or more yards and/or dropped inside the 20-yard line ... Streak stopped on his first kick of the second quarter.

-Lane Yoshida - Made his third career field goal of 40 or more yards, converting a career-long of 49 yards in the third quarter ... It is SDSU's longes field goal since Garrett Palmer had a 50-yarder at Arizona State in 2007 ... Yoshida is a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond 40 yards on his career ... Hit a 34-yard field goal later in the quarter to improve his season mark to 8-for-10 in 2008.

-B.J. Williams - Recovered the second fumble of his career and the season... Recorded a career best with 4.0 tackles for loss, including a sack, beating his previous high of 2.0 on two occasions ... Second-best by an Aztec in a single game for TFLs in 2008 (4.5 by Russell Allen at SJSU) ... Had a career-best 11 tackles, his second career game in double-figures.
