ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Center Ryan Amoroso and his backup, Mehdi Cheriet, combined for 24 points, Kyle Spain led San Diego State with 15, and the Aztecs advanced to the finals of the Carrs/Safeway Great Alaska Shootout with a dominating 75-56 victory over Seattle on Friday night.

Amoroso finished with 13 points and Cheriet added 11, making up for Spain's quiet first half when he was saddled with foul trouble.

The Aztecs survived a scare in the first round, squeaking past Western Carolina. That one-point win helped coach Steve Fisher get his players to focus, and the Aztecs responded with a strong performance.

San Diego State (4-1) will face Hampton (3-2) in the tournament title game on Saturday night.

Seattle (4-2) was led by the 12 points of Michael Wright.
