SDSU stretched its streak to 49 games of not losing two straight at home. The last time the Aztecs lost back-to-back games at Cox Arena was 2005 when they fell to New Mexico (Feb. 26) and Air Force (Feb. 28). The last time San Diego State dropped two consecutive home games against non-conference foes was in the 2004-05 campaign when it fell to California (12-11-04) and Saint Mary's (12-14-04).
* LIVING LARGE IN THE GOLDEN STATE
The Aztecs continued their success against schools from California. SDSU is now 16-2 over its last 18 games versus California schools.
* THREE STRAIGHT OVER FRESNO
The Aztecs won their third straight game over Fresno State. The last time SDSU won three straight in the series was in 1974-75, when the Aztecs swept the series in 1974 and took the first game in 1975. The two teams have played 28 times since then. ... The 24-point margin of victory is the largest in the 101-game series history since Jan. 19, 1946, when SDSU won by the same margin, 57-33. It is the second-largest margin of victory in the history of the series only to the 62-24 triumph back on Jan. 6, 1940.
* FIVE STRAIGHT AGAINST THE WAC
San Diego State won its fifth consecutive game against a Western Athletic Conference (WAC) school. The Aztecs' last loss against a WAC opponent was the same Bulldogs on Feb. 25, 1999.
* WINNING RECORD AFTER 3 GAMES
SDSU moved to 2-1 to start the season. The last time the Aztecs were not above .500 after three games was the 2002-03 campaign, when they started 1-2. This is the sixth consecutive year San Diego State has owned a winning record after three games.
* WIRE-TO-WIRE
The Aztecs never trailed in today's game marking the 27th time in the Steve Fisher era the Aztecs have not trailed in a victory. Last season, SDSU did it five times, the most in a single-season under Fisher.
* LARGE HALFTIME ADVANTAGE
The Aztecs 17-point halftime lead was its largest since a 32-19 lead after 20 minutes of the game at Loyola Marymount last season (Nov. 28, 2007). San Diego State is now 107-31 under Steve Fisher when ahead at the half. ... Today's halftime advantage is the largest for a home game since leading by 22 vs. Wyoming on Jan. 19, 2008.

* Kyle Spain posted his third career double-double and first since March 11, 2006 vs. Wyoming during his freshman year with his career-high tying 22 points and 11 rebounds. His rebound total was one off his career high... He scored in double figures for the third straight game and led the team in scoring for the second outing in a row... Spain recorded his fourth career game with at least 20 points... The Aztecs improve to 29-8 when scores at least 10 points in a game... He has made multiple three-point shots in every game this season... Spain's 11 rebounds led the team and marks the first time he has done it this season.
* Kelvin Davis scored a season-high nine points... His field-goal total of four was also a season high. He had only one bucket coming into the game... Davis grabbed a season-high five rebounds, which is one short of career best.
* Ryan Amoroso reached double figures in scoring for the first time this season in just his second game with his 11 points.
* Mehdi Cheriet scored the first three baskets of his career and scored a career-best nine points.
* Matt Thomas scored a season-high five points and tied his 2008-best with two rebounds.
* Billy White posted season highs in steals and blocks with three and two, respectively.
