TEAM NOTES
* The Aztecs improve to 14-2 in exhibition games in the Steve Fisher era. SDSU has now won 13 exhibition games in a row dating back to 2000.
* Tonight's attendance 4,596 is the most for an exhibition game since before the 2000-01 season. There are no attendance records available for exhibition games prior to the `00-01 season.
* San Diego State won decisively by 29 points, a stark contrast to last year's exhibition vs. PLNU when they emerged with a 63-53 victory.
* The Aztecs had five players in double figures compared to four last year.
* SDSU owned an advantage in points off turnovers (35-4), second-chance points (15-4), fastbreak points (6-0) and bench points (11-6).
* San Diego State started the quintet of Richie Williams and D.J. Gay in the backcourt and Kyle Spain, Billy White and Ryan Amoroso in the frontcourt.
PLAYER NOTES
* In his first game action since Feb. 6, 2008, vs. Air Force, Kyle Spain posted a 19 points, three rebounds and two assists. He also connected on four-of-five from three-point distance.
* Billy White continued his high-percentage shooting from last year as he connected on nine of 13 shots en route to a team-high 21 points. The sophomore also grabbed a game-high eight boards.
* In his first live game action since the Aztecs' contest at San Diego on Nov. 19, 2007, Tim Shelton recorded six points and two rebounds.
* Richie Williams put up double figures in scoring (14) for the second time in his exhibition career. It's his first such effort since the 2006-07 season when he went for 13 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists vs. Point Loma Nazarene.
* The game marked the second straight year in which D.J. Gay scored in double figures (15) against Point Loma Nazarene during the exhibition season. In 2007-08, Gay poured in 11 points.
* Ryan Amoroso shot over 50 percent for the game (5-for-9) en route to 12 points. The senior from Burnsville, Minn., also collected four rebounds.
