SAN DIEGO - For the third straight year, the San Diego State softball team will play all of its fall games at SDSU Softball Stadium, head coach Kathy Van Wyk announced on Thursday.

The busy schedule begins Friday (Oct. 24) with a game against Cal State San Marcos at 6 p.m. On Saturday the Aztecs will meet Cal Baptist at 1 p.m.

Following this weekend's play, SDSU will play seven more games including the highly anticipated annual Alumni game on Nov. 15.

The remainder of the fall schedule includes games against Mt. San Antonio CC (Oct. 31), Palomar College (Nov. 5), Point Loma Nazarene (Nov. 7), Santiago Cyn. CC (Nov. 8), and Cypress CC (Nov. 14).

Following the Nov. 15 Alumni game, the Aztecs will wrap up their fall schedule against a men's team on Nov. 20.

Admission to all fall softball events are free and the games do not count towards the 2008 season record.

Last season, the Aztecs had their most successful season in school history, which culminated with a 2-0 loss at Fresno State in the NCAA Regional. SDSU set school record in 11 categories, including wins (44), and win percentage (.721, 44-17), en route to its fourth MWC title and fourth NCAA appearance.
