- San Diego State snapped a six-game losing streak dating back to last season. SDSU's most recent victory prior to tonight was a 38-30 victory at UNLV on Nov. 10, 2007.

- San Diego State's 45 points are its most in a single game vs. a bowl subdivision team since beating San Jose State 52-21 on Sept. 24, 2005... It is also the Aztecs' largest margin of victory over a bowl subdivision opponent since beating the Spartans by 31 points. The team's 35-point lead at one point tonight was its largest over a bowl subdivision opponent since it also led by 35 vs. South Florida on Sept. 4, 1999 (SDSU won 41-12).

-Junior running back Atiyyah Henderson became the 21st player in the Division I era to surpass 1,000 career yards rushing. Making his first start of the season, Henderson carried 21 times for 100 yards for his third career 100-yard rushing game and the team's first since he ran for 140 yards against Cal Poly in 2006.

-Wide receivers Vincent Brown and Mekell Wesley became the 73rd and 74th players in SDSU history to have a 100-yard receiving game. With both going over the century mark for the first time in their careers, the pair became the first Aztec wideouts to finish an outing with more than 100 yards in the same game since Jeff Webb (142 yards) and Chaz Schilens (119 yards) at Hawai'i on Dec. 3, 2005. It is the 43rd time at least two Aztecs have accomplished the feat in the same game.

-Vincent Brown, who reached the century mark in receiving yards before halftime, also caught three touchdowns. Brown becomes the 22nd player in Aztec history to have three more in a single outing. Brown now has six career TDs in 16 career outings and is the first Aztec with three receiving TDs in a single game since Brett Swain turned the trick a year ago vs. Portland State.

-Freshman quarterback Ryan Lindley recorded his second 300-yard passing game of the season. Lindley is the 16th Aztec to post at least two 300-yard passing games in a career. Lindley finished with a freshman-record 433 yards passing, completing 24-of-38 passes with four TDs. He is the 14th Aztec to throw for over 400 yards in a single outing.

With tonight's victory, San Diego State... Snaps a six-game losing streak dating back to last season. SDSU's most recent victory prior to tonight was a 38-30 victory at UNLV on Nov. 10, 2007 ... Wins for the third consecutive time following an in-season bye. Last season the Aztecs defeated Colorado State following a bye and San Diego State did the same against Air Force in 2006 ... Takes a 2-1 series lead over the Vandals.

-This marked the second time in four games this season that San Diego State has scored first (at Notre Dame).

-Entering tonight's game, San Diego State had started just three drives on the opponent side of the field, with all three of those drives resulting in touchdowns. Tonight the Aztecs started two drives on the Vandal side of the field on consecutive drives in the first half.

-SDSU's 158 yards on the ground are its most this season and most since tallying 166 vs. New Mexico in 2007 ... SDSU's 603 yards of total offense are the teams most since tallying 632 at Hawai'i in 2002. The team's 445 yards through the air are its most since throwing for 474 vs. Portland State last year.

-San Diego State put together three scoring drives of 80 or more yards tonight, including a season-long 89 yards drive resulting in a Atiyyah Henderson TD in the third quarter. It was the longest Aztec scoring drive since also posting an 89-yard TD drive against TCU in the 11th game of the 2007 campaign (Nov. 24, 2007).

-San Diego State scored 17 points in the second quarter, the highest output by the Aztecs since scoring 17 points in the first quarter against TCU last season (Nov. 24, 2007). That game also marks the last time SDSU had 24 points in the first half.

-San Diego State intercepted three passes with two of the three recording their first career pick (Horn, Perez). The last time SDSU had three picks in a single game last last year vs. Cincinnati.

Individual Notes

-Corey Boudreaux: Returned to the lineup after missing the San Jose State game with a neck injury... Tonight, he picked off a pass in the endzone and returned it 38 yards... It was the fourth career interception for Boudreaux and first of the season... It also marked the second consecutive game in which he has played that he has forced a turnover (had a forced fumble at Notre Dame).

-Vincent Brown: Posted his fourth, fifth and sixth career touchdown receptions and the second, third and fourth on the season when he reached the goal line on passes of 41, 48 and 51 yards in the second quarter... He posted the first 100-yard receiving game of his career and he is the 73rd player in school history to have a 100-yard receiving game.

-Tyler Campbell: Made his second career start tonight as the Aztecs opened in a two-back set... He also received the starting nod in the season opener against Cal Poly ... Recorded a career-high eight carries for 24 yards.

-Atiyyah Henderson: Earned the starting assignment tonight, marking the 11th career start for the junior... It marked the first start this season for Henderson, who earned three starts in 2007, including the season-ending contest against Brigham Young (Dec. 2, 2007)... Scored his third and fourth career touchdowns on a three-yard rush in the first quarter and 4-yard run in the third ... It was his first TD since scoring last season at Air Force (Nov. 17, 2007) ... He became the 21st Aztec player in the Division I era to record 1,000 career yards rushing when he scampered for 39 yards in the first quarter ... That was the longest rush by an Aztec player this season ... Tallied his third career 100-yard rushing game with exactly 100 yards on 21 carries.

-Matthew Kawulok: Recorded his first career fumble recovery tonight after grabbing a muffed punt.

-Jerome Long: Made his first career start tonight in his third career game played.

-Jose Perez: Made his first career start tonight... The sophomore has played in all four games this season... He also had his first career interception in the second quarter of tonight's game.

-Jonathan Soto: Returned to defensive end after having to play the last two games in the interior of the d-line... He responded with five tackles, including three solo stops. He was the leading SDSU tackler throughout the first half.

-Justin Shaw: Playing in his sixth career game, Shaw made a diving catch on a 26-yard pass from Lindley in the second quarter... That was the longest reception of his career.

-Mekell Wesley: He started in place of the injured Darren Mougey tonight... It was the fourth career start for the junior in his 23rd career game... He entered the contest with five career receptions for 35 yards... Had a career-long 39-yard pass reception ... Ended up with a career-best six receptions for 109 yards, becoming the 74th player in school history to eclipse the century mark.

-Drew Westling: Saw his first career action, completing both of his pass attempts for 12 yards.

-Marcus Yarbrough: Posted a career-high six stops in his most extensive playing time of his career. Had 10 career tackles in 12 career games entering tonight.

-Lane Yoshida: Improved to 2-for-2 in field goals in his career by connecting from 26 yards out in the second quarter.
