-The Records: The San Diego State women's basketball team will look to remain perfect and help head coach Beth Burns claim her 250th career win, when the Aztecs play host to Southern Utah Tuesday in their 2007-08 home opener. The two schools will face-off for the fourth time overall and the second straight year in a 7 p.m. match-up at Cox Arena. SDSU, which is 2-0 on the year with a pair of road wins at Nevada and most recently at Saint Mary's, posted a 55-52 victory at Southern Utah a year ago. The Thunderbirds enter Tuesday's contest with a 1-2 mark with a win over Concordia and a pair of losses to Kansas State and Utah Valley.

-SDSU Head Coach Beth Burns: Burns (Ohio Wesleyan, 1979) is in the third year of her second stint as head coach at San Diego State. She led the Aztecs for eight seasons from 1989 to 1997, before returning in 2005. She has an overall head coaching record of 249-188 in 15 seasons, while she is 168-123 in her 10 previous campaigns at SDSU.

-Southern Utah Head Coach Steve Hodson: Hodson, a former prep coach and men's assistant, is in his second year at his alma mater and as a head coach on the women's collegiate level. He has a 10-22 overall record and is 0-1 against the Aztecs.

-Southern Utah Series History: San Diego State owns a perfect 4-0 all-time record against Southern Utah, including a 2-0 mark in San Diego. The two schools faced each other last season in Cedar City for the first time. (Last: SDSU def. Southern Utah, 55-52, on Nov. 24, 2006, in Cedar City, Utah).
