  • With the win, SDSU improves to 12-2 in exhibition games in the Steve Fisher era. SDSU has now won 11 exhibition games in a row dating back to 2000.
  • Brandon Heath's 30 points are the most Heath has dropped in six career exhibition games at SDSU. It is the first 30+ point exhibition game for an Aztec during the Steve Fisher era.
  • Heath's 30-point performance does not count toward his season statistics, but Heath will enter the regular season with 38 career 20+ point games. That total currently places him third among D-1 active players.
  • The Aztecs had five players score in double figures in tonight's exhibition versus Point Loma. It is the third time since 1999 the Aztecs have had five players score in double figures in an exhibition game. The last time it happened was on Nov. 13, 2003 vs. Branch West.
  • Richie Williams'double-double (13 points, 10 rebounds) is the first since Marcus Slaughter's double-double in the exhibition game versus Point Loma on Nov. 11, 2004.
  • Senior guard Brandon Heath's 40 minutes are the most Heath has played in an exhibition game during his Aztec career.
  • Brandon Heath and Richie Williams both played all 40 minutes in tonight's exhibition game. It is the first time one (or two) Aztecs have played 40 minutes in an exhibition game during the Fisher era.
  • After only scoring 32 points in the first half versus Saint Xavier in last year's exhibition game, SDSU scored 45 points in the first half versus Point Loma. The Aztecs had three players (Brandon Heath, Mohamed Abukar, and Richie Williams) in double figures at halftime in this year's lone exhibition contest after not having any players in double figures at halftime vs. Saint Xavier in 2005.
  • The 15-point halftime lead is the third largest lead the Aztecs have held in Fisher-era exhibition games.
  • SDSU shot 54.5% from the field in the first half, the third highest field-goal percentage at halftime in an exhibition game since 1999.
  • 4,511 fans attended tonight's exhibition game at Cox Arena. It is the largest exhibition game crowd in SDSU history, surpassing the attendance total from 2004's exhibition with Point Loma (3,488).
  • San Diego State opens its regular season at the Shamrock Invitational in Moraga, Calif., vs. Murray State on , Friday, Nov. 10 at 5 p.m.
