- Won a season-high four straight games (first four game win streak since Nov. 22-Dec. 4, 2004)
- Won four straight Mountain West Conference games (first time SDSU has won four straight MWC games in a single season; longest single-season conference win streak since a four-game WAC winning streak from Feb. 7-Feb. 16, 1985)
- Improved to 12-6 overall, its best record after 18 games since the the 1984-85 squad opened 14-4
- Improved to 5-1 in league play, its best record after six conference games since the 1974-75 squad opened PCAA play with an identical 5-1 record; SDSU had never opened WAC or MWC play by winning at least five of its first six conference games

- Won three straight conference games by double-digits since the 2002-03 team did it against Air Force (67-53), New Mexico (89-73) and at Wyoming (86-73)
- Posted its largest margin of victory over Brigham Young ever. Its previous best was 19 during the 1984-85 season.
- Tonight's margin of victory (27 pts.) is the largest for an SDSU team in MWC history
- Tonight marks the 13th consecutive time in the series in which the team with fewer turnovers has won the game

PLAYER NOTES
* - Marcus Slaughter recorded his third consecutive double-double for the second time this season. Earlier this year, the junior from Riverside, Calif., posted three straight double-doubles for the first time of his career. (vs. Point Loma Nazarene - 25 pts., 14 rebs.; at California - 22 pts., 13 rebs.; vs. Washington State - 26 pts., 17 rebs.)... Slaughter now has 20 double-doubles in his career and eight this season... In his last three games, he has a total of 52 rebounds, the highest three-game total of his career. His previous high came earlier this year when he pulled down 44 boards over three games.

* - Slaughter has made at least nine free throws in three of his last four games. During those four games, he has only missed seven free-throw attempts.

* - In four previous games against Brigham Young, Slaughter has averaged 11.8 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. He surpassed both of those averages tonight.

* - Tonight is Brandon Heath's 64th career double-figure scoring game and now has a string of 10 straight with 10 or more points... Heath has surpassed Al Skalecky on the all-time SDSU career scoring list. Heath now ranks sixth all-time in San Diego State history.

* - Heath has tallied 20-plus points in 13 of his last 21 games dating back to last season... The Aztecs improve to 12-4 when he shoots 50 percent or better from the field in his career... Tonight marks the 34th time the junior guard has led the team in scoring.

* - Heath tied his season-high with six rebounds tonight. He also had six at Utah earlier this season.

* - John Sharper scored a career high 16 points. His four three-pointers made and his six field goals made ties his career high... He has connected on multiple three-point field goals in 14 of his last 16 games.

* - Mohamed Abukar scored in double figures for the fifth time this season in just his eighth game as an Aztec.
