SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State-UNLV men's soccer game on Saturday will be dedicated in memory of former Aztec Boyd Lyon, head coach Lev Kirshner announced. The match is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. at SDSU Sports Deck.

Lyon, who played for the Aztec men's soccer team during the 1991 and 1992 seasons, disappeared while tagging sea turtles off the Florida coast in mid-August. The U.S. Coast Guard and other volunteers searched for Lyon for several days, but were unable to find him. Lyon was a graduate biology student at the University of Central Florida.

There will be a brief ceremony and moment of silence to honor Lyon before the game.

A Millersville, Pa., native, Lyon earned two letters at SDSU as a midfielder, registering an assist during the 1991 season.

The game versus the Rebels is apart of SDSU men's soccer alumni weekend, which also includes an alumni match at 2 p.m. Sunday.
