SAN DIEGO - With a pair of two-a-day practices in a span of three days, the San Diego State football team enjoyed a brief reprieve Tuesday with a single, two and a half hour workout at the team's on-campus facility. The Aztecs completed their 21st overall practice of fall camp since reporting to school on Aug. 4, while they are now just nine days removed from the opener against UTEP on Aug. 31.

"We had good intensity (at practice) today," SDSU head coach Chuck Long said. "It started slow, but really picked up by the end of the day. We had some good enthusiasm and you can tell that just by looking at our captains, who are leading in a good way. Overall, we had a good day today on both sides of the ball."

As the temperatures in the San Diego area continue to rise, so does the intensity at the Aztecs' practices, as the team completed the day with a physical 11-on-11 drill, including work inside the redzone.

SDSU will log its final two-a-day practice of fall camp on Wednesday, before a single workout on Thursday. The team starts its game-week preparations on Saturday.

The story behind the music:
Beginning last spring, Chuck Long started playing music on the field during pre-practice stretching drills. He liked the energy it brought to the beginning of practice and will continue to utilize it during the fall. Coach Long has solicited lists from athletic department personnel, media and throughout the University and plans to select a different playlist every day.
