OKLAHOMA CITY - The San Diego State swimming and diving team set two season-best times, both of which qualify as top-five all-time SDSU times on Wednesday at the Mountain West Conference swimming and diving championships. The Aztecs currently sit in seventh place with 49 points after one day of competition at Oklahoma City Community College.
In the 800-yard freestyle relay, the quartet of Emily Schmied, Adrienne Conte, Emily Parker and Caitlin Friedhoff swam a season-low time of 7:38.84, 22 seconds faster than the previous season-best mark (8:00.93). Their time is the fourth fastest in school history. The school record is 7:37.50, set during the 2001-02 season.
