ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - San Diego State finished in 13th place at 22-over 886 at the William H. Tucker Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M. The Aztecs shot a final round 296 after opening with rounds of 296 and 294 on Friday.
SDSU was led by senior Aaron Choi who placed in a tie for 11th-place at even par 216. Arizona won the 19-team event by shooting nine-under par 855 to earn a two stroke win over host New Mexico. UNLV's Ryan Moore was the top individual finisher after shooting a seven-under par 65 on Saturday for a three-round total of 205.
Choi shot a final round even-par 72 after shooting a 71 and 73 on Friday. Choi has been the top Aztec finisher in 2-of-3 tournaments so far.
Junior Jeff Hansen shot a final round 71 to finish at 220 and tied for a 24th-place finish. Fellow junior Josh Warthen placed tied for 46th place with a 223, while sophomore Chris Cole shot a final round 78 for a 229 (t-76th) and senior Gilberto Rodriguez placed 93rd (236).
