SAN DIEGO - When San Diego State faces Brigham Young at 6:00 p.m. on Friday in the final home contest of 2004, it will be Trading Card Night at Tony Gwynn Stadium.
The first 400 fans in attendance will receive a set of 2004 SDSU Aztec baseball cards compliments of the California Highway Patrol. Gates open an hour-and-a-half before game time at 4:30 p.m.
The 43-card set feature all 39 players on this year's roster as well as the four SDSU coaches. Each full-color card features a photo on one side with a bio and statistics on the reverse side.
Friday evening's game against the Cougars, slated to start at 6:00 p.m., will also be Senior Night as the baseball program bids farewell to 14 athletes marking the final home contest of their Aztec careers. Ceremonies are expected to start at approximately 5:45 p.m.
San Diego State concludes its regular season with a three-game series at Utah next week (May 20-22) before traveling to Las Vegas for the 2004 Mountain West Conference Tournament, which starts on Wednesday, May 26.
