Oklahoma City - The San Diego State Aztec women's swim team finds itself in eighth place after the first two days of the Mountain West Conference Championship Meet being contested in Oklahoma City this weekend. Almost every SDSU swimmer who has competed thus far has set a season personal best in her event.

On Wednesday, the 200-yard medley relay quartet of Erin Kilpatrick, Jill Karacozoff, Emily Schmied and Amy Osback swam a 1:50.7 to eclipse the previous season-best time of 1:51.31.

That threesome included Melissa Webb (5:01.46), Megan Storey (5:02.73) and Hannah Ryan (5:04.06). Including Kilpatrick, these swimmers accounted for 21 points for SDSU in this event.

In the 50 freestyle, Sarah Lattus went 24.34 to improve her season-best time of 24.96 which she set back in early November. Finally, freshman Emily Schmied swam a 2:07.60 in the 200 individual medley to finish second in the "B" final (10th overall) and establish a new personal best.
